As OTA updates prepare to roll out for Galaxy S II phones on the Sprint and AT&T networks, Samsung has released the source code for their respective versions of the handsets. Owners of the Sprint Epic 4G Touch and AT&T’s Galaxy S II Skyrocket 4G phones are in line to receive update FF18 which will give them Ice Cream Sandwich. Even as the update is rolling out, Samsung has made the source code available via their download page. For most users this is not going to be of much direct benefit. Developers who are ready to starting hacking on the kernels for these phones will be pleased with the news.
